(Washington, D.C. - October 29, 1999) -- Two new reports, The Millennium in Gold 1000-1999 and The Millennium in Silver 1000-1999, tracking the story of these two metals from 1000 AD to 1999, have just been released and are now available for sale from the Gold and Silver Institutes. Each publication is 28 pages and offers a spread on each century, providing unique perspectives on prices, mine output, coin production and the gold/silver ratio. Subjects range from the rise of the goldsmith in the 13th century in the gold edition, to Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway taking a position of 150 million ounces of silver, pushing the price to $7.81 per ounce in 1998 in the silver publication.

The author of both books is Timothy Green. He is well known as the author of several authoritative books on gold, including The World of Gold and The Gold Companion.

Both publications can be obtained from the Gold and Silver Institutes in Washington, D.C. Copies of the publications are US$45.00 each, which includes shipping and handling.
